Took a break after long time, this time testing the hills on Petra. The Destination is Yercaud in Tamil Nadu. The route taken is Bangalore - Hosur - Dharmapuri - Salem - Yercaud (220 km). Started on Saturday Morning 5:10 am took a 45 minutes break for breakfast at Salem and then Petra hit again on the beautiful highway. Every drive is different and this is one point better than Bangalore to Chennai. The horsepower and torque of Petra is tested again, reached a maximum speed of 130 km/hr.
The Hill road leading to Yercaud is wonder felt better than highway :). Here it is not the matter of speed but control. After reaching the top of the hill (Yercaud) at 09:45 am I forgot the driving pleasure, now am seeing a hidden heaven on earth. 
Started hunt for rooms and finally got GRT, it was a wonder place to stay equally excited are my wife and kid. The above two pictures you see are from the Hotel room balcony. I would suggest this hotel for anyone who travels to Yercaud.
We did our regular site visit first went for boating and then went to various point of view like men seat, woman seat and pagoda point etc. Spectacular and breathtaking is the word for all the views. There were jack fruits piled up and sold everywhere, bought 3 of those :). The day ended what buffet dinner at the hotel. Woke up on Sunday Morning at 6:30 maybe missed to wake up little more earlier to see the beauty outside. Took some photos and videos and neared the time of 10:00 the end of our stay we need to checkout, sad to leave but happy with memories in brain and sd card :).
The drive downhill was great like the drive uphill and had a great drive back again on the great highway reached home by 1:30 in Bangalore. The Horse is tested again with the raw power which is the best till now :). By the time i am blogging the brain is searching for next destination....may one who reads can share ideas...
