Sara my 5 year old's first solo Dance Performance

Sara my 5 year old daughter performed her first Solo performance on 9th August 2013. The Dance is choreographed by her Mother and herself, she has natural flair for Art and especially Dancing. She started doing her first moves as early as 2 years old.

It's good to Sell

Sometimes it does not make sense just to look for profit, it's great to cut losses. Learnt a great lesson to sell a stock before it hammers further, it's fun to watch the stock going further down and be happy after cutting down losses.

Lesson Learnt: Avoid Greed and sometimes avoid stocks which are valued trading less than 1 times the P/BV

Travel time again!

Have a vacation travel plan and this time it is Mangalore and the difference this time is travel by Train rather than Drive( will miss driving). Starting this Saturday 29th September 2012. Will post my experience and photos / videos soon...

Trip to Bandipur and Ooty

A Trip to Bandipur - Ooty and coonoor is a Trip to Remember forever. Again the mode of Transport by Road and the Car is again Fiat Petra. The 1.6 Litre engine is again undisputed and flawless it roars the distance like a GPS device which wants Travel all the time.

Started our planning to this place 6th July 2012 for the Next day, we and my wife started planning for a road trip and shortlisted some places like wayanad (kerala), Coorg (Karnataka) and some more other places. But never came in our mind about Bandipur or ooty. So finally decided Wayanad, we started our trip on 7th July again every trip starts early for us, this time it is 5:30 am. Petra again flawless there was a couple of addition to our trip one is my daughter 4 year old and the other is GPS in iPhone (App name Sygic). reached Mysore at around 7-30 and started having our breakfast then while seeing the GPS thought about Bandipur is just 70  km away, so we changed the plan and thought of seeing Bandipur and then see Wayanad later. Felt bad initially because of the plan change, but convinced that it's time for some Jungle safari. The road between Bangalore and Mysore is great and wanted the same between Mysore and Bandipur, the road did not disappoint it was great as well, so the route was scenic and spotted Sunflower farm and took some great pictures with my wife and kid posing brilliant and the shots are brilliant as well. 

Reached Bandipur at around 12:00 noon and searched for a resort and luckily found this resort called MC Resort and found comfortable. Settled down and went for a evening Safari to the forest which started at 3:45 excitement of spotting a Tiger was all over. We started the safari and we started spotting plenty of dears, sambhar,Bison,peacock, Wild Rooster,Monkeys, elephant but no signs of Tiger, felt lucky to spot those animals. Took some pictures of animals but nothing i felt stunning i blame it on the shutter speed, good lesson to shoot better in our next Wild safari. Came back with memories and experience. Next Day 7th July 2012 we had a invitation for Nature Walk (Trekking ) took Sara with me (she might not remember this, but she went for a first Forest Walk at 4 years). She was walking in the forest with the group as one of the experienced, holding a stick in the hand :). We spotted 5 elephants on the way (far far away), as our guides reminded us it is too dangerous to go closer to the Tuskers.I think this is the first time Sara did such a long walk

We checked out from MC Resort Bandipur at 11:00 am and decided to go to ooty which is again some 70 km odd from here so the drive is passing through the bandipur forest area, again excitement continues to see wild life, maybe spotting a Tiger, but spotted peacock and dear. There a 100 speed breakers towards Ooty. The Road started getting steeper then we can feel we are getting closer to ooty. There are 36 sharp/steep turns and mostly the engine is at first or second gear, Petra is again tested this time not for speed but for power at higher altitude, it negotiated amazingly. The adrenaline of driving on steep road is unimaginable, at times it is a daunting task to negotiate steep curves but it is fun, because it tests your driving skills. At last after all the drive reached 2,286 meters above sea level that's called Ooty, it is 1:30 am. A scenic place for me, always thinking whether my wife and kid will like it, but looking at their emotions can say its lik watching 1000 horses running together kind of emotion, they loved it. Now it;s time to search for Hotels, so GPS was quiet all the time because it is straight now our GPS need to find a Hotel for us, shortlisted Hotel LakeView and we found it, to all my astonishment it was a quiet and nice place for lesser price and it is near the lake so there is plenty of excitement to everyone,

Had our lunch at the hotel room and went for boating at 4:00 pm it was again amazing boating experiences with scenic surrounding. The guy who was paddling took some photos of us and also video, so we are shooting a documentary here, so lovely the outcome of those videos are awesome. We went for a 4D video simulation studio where we had a experiences of rough ride, it was worth. Me and Sara went for a horse ride, this is pure compulsion from my wife, because i hate those rides, because animals are always unpredictable, Sara enjoyed it. We went to the thread garden (meaning plants are artificial and made of nylon thread). It was nice and took some pictures.

We ended the day with a GPS search to Coffee Day and had a nice coffee and packed off for the day. Wait a minute looks like forgot something to mention we had a fireplace at the living room and since the weather is colder we had fun sitting around the fire. Sayali & Sara just enjoyed the fun, after all that's what i want from every vacation.

The next day started pretty early and we went to the rose garden and saw some really interesting rose and flowers and then sara joined in the photo shoot as well. She took some amazing shots. We spent some 1 hour here and we went to the nearest Tea plantation and saw some breathtaking view of how closer the cloud can come near the land.

There was some talk about coonoor and it is another  20km so drove to coonoor but disappointed to see nothing there and since we did not have much time here as wanted to cross bandipur before dawn and go back home. So returned back to Ooty and had a nice lunch at of the nicest restaurant and headed back home to Bangalore and drive back was smoother and reached bandipur before 5:00 and just followed the GPS for a route between Mysore and Bangalore and GPS told the shortest route, i never know this i had a setting in GPS to chose the shortest route. The Shortest route is outer ring road to Bangalore which is the worst and isolated route had a tough time, i would never suggest anyone that route even if it reaches couple of hours early. So this road dragged me to reach home only at 11:00 pm.

Again the memories of this journey will be cherished for ever and ever. By the time i am writing this experience, already planned for a trip to Beaches of Mangalore end of this Month. Will share that soon....till then Happy Travelling to all...

Too much be careful and beware is too bad

I see lot of mails and messages on be careful and beware but there is always a victim, sometime it will be the same person who wrote the article on beware and be careful. I think every incident has a situation and nobody can be completely prepared or planned for that, so why worrying instead start living and face the issues when it comes to you!
